Welcome to the Information Systems Research Group (ISRG)
Welcome to the Information Systems Research Group (ISRG) at the
Department of Information Studies web pages. This research group
is a part of the Computational Informatics Research Group (CISRG)
and a subset of the Data Management and Information Systems Research
group.
The Department of Information Studies has just celebrated its
40th birthday (For details, please click here). It was founded
in 1963 as the Postgraduate School of Librarianship. It has an
international reputation for the quality of its research, the
expertise of its staff and the achievements of its graduates.
It was awarded a top 6* rating in the 2001 Research Assessment
Exercise and has been awarded an 'excellent' score of 22 points
for Teaching Quality by HEFCE.
The ISRG group focuses on research in a variety of areas within
the IS and IT fields.
